Jim Gissy CEO and Investment Advisor Representative
Jim Gissy is the CEO of Capital Management Services, Inc., an independent Registered Investment Advisor he founded in 1986 in Manchester, Missouri.
Jim began his career over 30 years ago with Drexel Burnham Lambert, and after that, Shearson Lehman Brothers, when those international firms were in their prime. There, Jim honed his love for and passion for the financial services industry.
Jim has made a name for himself in the St. Louis and surrounding regions as a financial educator of individual investors. Shunning ‘cookie-cutter’ approaches to money management, Jim thrills to the challenge of being on the leading edge of innovation in creating wealth strategies for his clients … and all with an eye toward reducing his clients’ tax burden wherever possible.
Among the many high-level industry workshops Jim has attended over the years are the special IRA planning courses by Ed Slott, nationally renowned CPA who’s been dubbed “America’s IRA Expert” by The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and the New York Times; and the Learning Institute for Financial Executives in Dayton, Ohio.
Jim, a lifelong resident of the St. Louis area, is a graduate of St. John Vianney High School and St. Louis University. Along with spending time with his wife, Karen, their five children and four grandchildren, Jim is an avid golfer, is active in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manchester, Missouri, and has many charitable interests elsewhere in the community.

Joseph’s father founded Capital Management Services (CMS) in 1986, and nearly 30 years later, he joined the firm as an Investment Advisor Representative. In 2014, Joe’s first year on board with the company, he opened CMS’ first West Coast branch and began building a practice specializing in retirement planning for high net worth individuals.
Joe’s role expanded when he became chief operating officer in 2018. He experienced so much success helping clients of CMS that he now assists other financial advisors in growing practices of their own by partnering with CMS’s third-party management solutions. Joe works with a veteran team of regional managers who are eager to add value, time and personal freedom to clients’ lives.
The St. Louis native is insurance-licensed in California and Missouri and passed his Series 65 securities exam to become an Investment Adviser Representative. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University in business management and marketing.
Michael Zimmerman Investment Advisor Representative
Mike joined A.G. Edwards in 1984 and became intrigued with the CAN SLIM investment/trading system in 1991 after taking a trial subscription to Investor’s Business Daily and receiving cassette recordings featuring William J. O’Neil and David Ryan. He became a disciple of Bill O’Neil and attended workshops and seminars with Bill and David.
Mike completed the CAN SLIM Master’s Program in 2006 and 2008 and has developed his own unique trading style based on his years of experience. “In Japanese, the word for constant and neverending improvement is kaizen. I’m passionate about the market, and I’m a firm believer in the principle of CANI.”

Tony Roylance Investment Advisor Representative
Tony Roylance began his career in the financial industry in the mid-1990s working in the margin department at A.G. Edwards. A few years later, he pursued a childhood dream and became a professional paramedic and firefighter in the St. Louis area. Continuing his study and interest in the market, Tony was able to put his knowledge to good use serving on the pension boards of both departments where he has worked and helped others with their defined contribution plans. Seeing a desperate need for independent financial advice and the importance of active investment management, Tony decided to obtain his Series 65 Investment Advisor Representative designation.
A lifelong resident of the St. Louis area, Tony is a graduate of Belleville East and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He currently resides in Raintree Plantation in Jefferson County with his wife, Kathryn, and four children. When not studying the markets, Tony enjoys being on the golf course as well as enjoying some quiet time on the Big River.

Thomas Brown Investment Advisor Representative
Having been a small business owner and worked with a Fortune 500 company Tom saw firsthand how challenging it was for his employees to accumulate wealth for retirement and other financial goals. In 1989 he decided to focus his career on helping people in these areas and opened his practice.
Tom has conducted numerous educational seminars ranging from college funding solutions, social security maximization, and guaranteed income lifetime retirement programs.
Tom has worked with multiple Fire Protection Districts, Business Owners, and Individuals in the Saint Louis metropolitan area regarding pension and individual asset planning and management.
Through ongoing training an education Tom achieved the position of Investment Advisor, obligated to act with his Client’s best interests first.

Tom attended Drake University and has been in the Saint Louis area for more than 31 years. He and his wife Linn enjoy spending time with their family, including nine grandchildren.
